About Me

Each day holds new possibilities for great discoveries and hidden joys. We never experience the same day twice. Whether it's a lesson learned, a new revelation or unusual event, every day is as unique as you allow it to be.

A perfect day for me is one where I'm free to explore and learn, then photograph and write about it. It might be something as random as finding out that overhead power lines hum in the key of A or that sunflower seeds and pinecone bracts are arranged in a Fibonacci spiral.

My writing style is engaging, lighthearted and often humorous when crafting non-fiction.  Currently, as the Content Coordinator for two monthly magazines, North Valpo Neighbors and South Valpo Neighbors, I enjoy writing stories about local families, businesses and activities. I'm pleased to announce the publication of my first fictional children's picture book Whistleberry Junction which can be purchased on my Books For Sale tab.

Born and raised in southern California, I've since lived all across the country and had many great adventures. I love to explore, learn, and discover new things. I am a proud member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and currently reside in Northwest Indiana.  I'm passionate about travel, tennis, cooking, and photography, and I cherish family moments with my husband David, kids Russell, Alicia and Rick, and grandchildren Spencer, Carter, and Madalyn.
